5 Days Gorilla trekking safari in Uganda

Uganda is an amazing destination tucked in the east African part of Africa, it is famous for the many natural resources the whole mixture and blend of the state is epic! Notable characters are the primates of the western Uganda, our trip will purposefully take you to the Bwindi Impenetrable national park this is known for the mountain gorilla species, the gentle kinds live in the forest freely without being captivated, they live in families of up to 20 members including Juveniles, black backs, females and baby gorillas over the years gorilla numbers have greatly reduced largely an thanks to the continued conservation policies.

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

On this day when you arrive our team will welcome you at the airport, meet, greet and assist you through the immigration process, depending on the time you arrive, we will have a half day Entebbe city tour visiting the ideal places including Victoria mall for shopping of a few items we might have missed buying then return to the hotel that has been booked for your dinner and staying overnight at

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Bwindi impenetrable national park is most sought of when it comes to mountain gorillas, the forest hosts half of the world’s remaining population of the primate species, these have been habituated in four sectors of Bwindi , we will have a morning breakfast and then proceed to the misty angelic forest it is said to date back to the ice age era and has developed so much since then, we will pass rolling hills, small towns and villages of the Kigezi highland with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch the journeys takes approximately +/- 9 hours to arrive at the destination for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 3: Gorilla trekking experience

Early morning breakfast after which we will be transferred to the park headquarters for  briefing , sometimes this is sparked off with a traditional dance from the community as our guide assists in registration in groups of 8 you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek, a ranger will take you through the developed trails of the park in search of the primates while we observe the gorilla rules and regulations, it takes 2 – 8 hours or even sometimes the whole day in the forest, tiring as it is however the experience is unexplainably thrilling an hour is allowed while with them interact and take pictures returning to meet your guide who will transfer you to accommodation that has been booked for your dinner and stay overnight at your preferred lodge

 

Day 4: Community walk and relaxation

Following a morning breakfast, will take a community tour to the people of the Bwindi impenetrable national park, their rich culture is so enticing to be involved with enjoy the guided walk through the community it takes 2-3 hours after which we will return to the lodge for a hot lunch and an afternoon relaxation of visit to the Batwa community they lived and enjoyed the forest , they are unique citizens and the last remaining population of the short structured people in Uganda they perform their traditional songs , music , and demonstrate how they lived in the forest without being captivated, dinner and staying overnight at your preferred lodge

 

Day 5: Departure

On this day we will have an early morning breakfast, after which we will be transferred to back to Entebbe for our out bound flight returning back home as you say goodbye to the country that has been home for some days.
