Our 4 Days of Gorilla trekking and Golden Monkeys in Uganda will lead you to the country’s top visited destinations for primates, The 2 species are unique in their capacities, and they both qualify as the most critically endangered types, The Bwindi impenetrable national park is situated in the southwestern corner of Uganda it hosts half population of mountain gorillas living within the deep thick impenetrable forest, it gives the chances of getting closer with the gentle brown-eyed species, the Mghainga national park is the smallest of Uganda ecosystems it is the only place to find golden monkeys while in Uganda, the conservation area is apart of the Virunga national park

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Bwindi is a known home to mountain gorillas, it is an angelic destination to the west of the country, On this day upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will transfer you to the national park, it is important to choose a morning flight for this trip option. The trip takes +/- 9 hours drive to arrive at the destination, we will spend the night in the Nkuringo sector of Bwindi as we enjoy the lush green forest. Dinner and staying overnight at the accommodation that has been booked

Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience

Early morning breakfast, after which we will be transferred to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking experience, It begins in the morning with a briefing from the authorities, these will tell you of the does and do notes while with the primates, gorillas live in families of up to 20 members led by a male silverback, the families have steadily grown in number thanks to the conservation policies, in groups of 8 members you will be allowed to trek it takes 2-8 hours doing the activity an hour is allowed while with them interact and take pictures, you will then return to meet your guide who will take you to the facility for your stay overnight

Day 3: Golden monkey tracking and Batwa experience

Following an early morning breakfast, we will be transferred to Mgahinga National Park for golden monkey tracking, just like the gorillas a briefing will be done, and off through the well-distributed trails you will be guided in search of the golden monkeys, they are characterized by their fur bodies in golden brown, they seem to always have cheeks stuffed with eats and enjoy feeding on bamboo, they live mostly in the low land areas hence compared to the gorillas the hike is much easier, it takes 2-3 hours and an hour is allowed while with the primates we will then return to meet our guide who will transfer you the lodge that has been booked for your dinner and staying overnight

Day 4: Departure

Morning breakfast after which we will return to Entebbe or Kampala for departure
