Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
You will be welcomed by our company representative upon arrival he or she will help you through immigration after which you to the home of mountain gorillas, the drive takes approximately +/-9 hours to arrive at the destination, and we will stop over at the equator for a brief picture moment have lunch and proceed to the park for dinner and staying overnight at the facility that has been booked for your dinner and staying overnight at
Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience
Morning breakfast, after which we will transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking experience, it begins in the morning at 8:00 a.m. with a briefing from the Uganda wildlife ranger, in groups of 8 you will be allocated a gorilla family to track, they live in the forest freely without being captivated, over the years there has been a great deduction in gorilla numbers, thanks to the continued efforts of conservation, there has been an increased number in the primate population, there are habituated gorilla families in each of the sectors of Bwindi. The tracking time takes 2-8 hours depending on how far gorilla families have moved we will return to the lodge for dinner and stay overnight at
Day 3: Guided forest walk and Pm Batwa community experience
Wake up to an early morning breakfast, we will be guided through the well-distributed trails of the forest expect to see a number of plant species including ferns, wild mushrooms, climbing plants, and mosses to mention a few, and the sound of birds, and running base water trails of the forest are magical, we will return to a hot lunch at the lodge and am afternoon visit to the Batwa community, they are a group of last short structured people in Uganda they are also known as the keepers of the forest, they will show you the forest through their eyes, how they hunted and got the medicine from the forest, we will then return to the lodge for dinner and stay overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Following a morning breakfast, we will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi downhill through the angelic Kigezi highlands, the drive is a scenic one as you pass banana and tea plantations, we will arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon cruise along the lake, the canoe cruise will expose you to some of the islands, on this day we will go to the animal island, expect to see animals like zebras, donkeys, antelopes of different species goose ducks to mention a few, we will then return to the lodge for dinner and staying overnight
Day 5: Departure
Following an early morning breakfast, we will be transferred back to Entebbe for your international flight back home
