Detailed Program

Day 1: Arrive in Uganda

Arrive in Uganda

Our tour guide will pick you from Entebbe international airport and proceed with you to Kampala city where you will be accommodated at a hotel.

Day 2: Travel to Eastern Uganda

Travel to Eastern Uganda

After breakfast we will travel East wards of Uganda to a town called Jinja which‘s 80 Km East of Kampala city, enroute visit the Uganda Martyrs Basilica.( famous for the execution of Christians in 1886) Ssezibwa falls( a famous cultural site of Buganda Kingdom), and arrive at Mabira forest reserve for lunch. Thereafter go for a nature walk in the forest reserve. After which proceed to Jinja town arriving at the source of the nile river which’s the longest river in the world.

Day 3: Continue Eastwards to Sipi Falls

Continue Eastwards to Sipi Falls

In the morning we will proceed eastwards of Uganda to Sipi falls, which‘s the highest waterfall in Uganda and falls to the ground of 100 metres. This waterfall‘s located on the spectacular slopes of Mountain Elgon which’s 4,321m. When there we will also have a walk to the huge water below the waterfall.

Day 4: Travel to Northern Uganda

Travel to Northern Uganda

Leave in the morning and proceed north wards of Uganda, on our way visit a place with Rock paintings known as Nyero Rock Paintings, which dates back to the iron age. Continue up to a town called Lira where we will visit the local people and also spent a night.

Day 5: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park

Travel to Murchison Falls National Park

Wake up in the morning and proceed to Murchison falls National park, enroute visit Karuma falls and arrive for lunch at the national park. After lunch have a rest and late in the evening go for a game drive and expect to see unique wildlife like African Elephants, Giraffes, Lions, antelopes and the Uganda Kob.

Day 6: Game drive and boat ride in the Park

Game drive and boat ride in the Park

Wake up very early in the morning and start a game drive and expect to see some animals that you might have missed yesterday evening. These may include African Elephant, lions, leopards, Giraffes, antelopes, Uganda Kob. Have packed lunch at lunch time.

After having packed lunch you will go for a lunch cruise on the Victoria Nile which‘s part of the Nile river which will take you to the bottom of the thundering falls where you will expect to see the African elephant, African Buffalo, Hippos and a variety of water birds, like Cormorants, African Fish eagle, ducks, Herons, kingfishers and the rare shoebill. From the bottom of the falls you will take a 30 minute trek to the top of the falls (Optional depending on your physical fitness) where you will have a good sight of the rapidly raging Nile river as it forms its way through the narrow gorge.

Day 7: Boat ride around the Albert Nile river

In the morning have a boat ride on the Albert Nile river which will lead us to the delta point. This is a place with a high concentration of wildlife in Murchison falls national park. When riding in the boat you will have the opportunity of viewing a variety of wildlife and birdlife including the rare shoebill.

Day 8: Travel to the Top of Murchison Falls Waterfall

Wake up in the morning and drive to the top of the Murchison falls water fall, on your way view wildlife. Have your packed lunch after visiting the top of the water falls.

After lunch proceed to a town known as Hoima where we will spend a night, but on our way we will visit the Budongo forest which‘s part of Murchison falls national park. Where we shall have a jungle walk to see different species of monkeys and birds.

Day 9: Travel to Kibale National Park

After breakfast we will travel south of Uganda to Kibale Forest National Park which is a jungle of 13 primate species which includes Chimpanzees, Baboons, Black and white Colobus Monkeys, red colobus, grey cheeked mangaybeys, l’hoest monkeys.

Arrive at the park at lunch time.

After lunch you will have a rest and later an afternoon walk around the lodge.

Day 10: Chimpanzee tracking and swamp walk

After an early morning breakfast, you will go for a Chimpanzee tracking adventure in the forest, as you track you will expect to see primates such as Grey cheeked Mangabeys along with lhoest monkeys and the Blue monkeys.

During this visit you will also be told about the secrets of the forests.

Have Lunch at the lodge after which proceed to a women’s group known as Bigodi women’s group and see their crafts , proceed to a swamp known as Bigodi wetland sanctuary, then end the day by attending a cultural performance.

Day 11: Travel to Semuliki National park

Wake up in the morning and travel to Semuliki National park which is a unique place and low land jungle in East Africa and part of the Congo-ecosystem

After lunch will have a rest and late in the afternoon visit the natural hot springs known as Sepaya.

Day 12: Depart Semuliki for Queen Elizabeth National park

Depart Semuliki for Queen Elizabeth National park

In the morning, we will head for Queen Elizabeth National park. Enroute stop at the Equator crossing for a photo. Later on arrive at the lodge for lunch. Have an afternoon rest and late in the evening have a game drive. Where you will expect to see a variety of wildlife.

Day 13: Game drive and Boat ride in Queen Elizabeth National park

Wake up in the morning and set out for an early morning game drive. Expect to see the early rise and predators returning to their hideouts and these include Lions, Buffalos, Hippos and other species. Have a midmorning breakfast and relax in the heat of the day.

After lunch you will have a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel which will bring you to a high concentration of hippo, crocodile and other animals by water edges and expect to also see different species of birds, African fish eagles, Bee eaters and many others.

Day 14: Visit the Kyambura Gorge and the Tree climbing lions area.

Wake up in the morning and visit the Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking, later have packed lunch.

After lunch proceed to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park which‘s found in a place known as Ishasha, where the tree climbing lions are based. Have a game drive in search of the tree climbing lions.

Day 15: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National park

Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National park

Wake up in the morning and head to Bwindi impenetrable National park enroute have a game drive in search of the tree climbing lions and have a glance at them once again. Proceed and arrive in Bwindi for lunch.

Day 16: Track Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National park

Track Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National park

We will wake up very early in the morning and have breakfast at 8:00am after which gather at a Ranger station for briefing and registration. The ranger guide will then take you through the thicket of the impenetrable forest. The famous Gorilla tracking activity takes between 2-6hours depending on the gorilla movements.

When they are met, you can stop and relax and see these endangered primates for an hour as you watch them play and feed. Before going for the activity, you are expected to be physically fit and free from communicable diseases like the common cold. After this tracking activity has ended you will have packed lunch and proceed back to the lodge.

Day 17: Leave Bwindi and travel to Lake Mutanda

Leave Bwindi and travel to Lake Mutanda

You will wake up and be driven to lake Mutanda a beautiful lake and expect to see three spectacular volcanoes on a clear day. Optional activities to be chosen from include (boat trip on the lake, walking along the lake, Go for swimming, visit pygmies and local people)

Day 18: Depart Lake Mutanda For Lake Bunyonyi via Mgahinga National park

Depart Lake Mutanda For Lake Bunyonyi via Mgahinga National park

After breakfast you will proceed to Mgahinga national park, where you will do one of the following optional activities (bird watching, nature walking, volcano mountain climbing or visit the golden monkey). After lunch you will proceed to the beautiful lake Bunyonyi where you will spend a night.

Day 19: Full day at Lake Bunyonyi

Full day at Lake Bunyonyi

You will wake up in the morning and go for a historical and cultural tour around the lake and also visit the Pygmies around the community.

After lunch you will have a rest and take on any of these optional activities in the afternoon (nature walks, bird watching, swimming, canoeing).

Day 20: Travel to Lake Mburo National park

Travel to Lake Mburo National park

After the early morning breakfast we will head for Lake Mburo national park eastwards arrive and have lunch. In the afternoon we will have a boat trip on Lake Mburo or a game drive then late in the evening night games drive.

Day 21: Bush walk and travel to Entebbe airport

Bush walk and travel to Entebbe airport

Have a bush walk in the morning in lake Mburo national park with a game ranger, this is an opportunity to see animals at a close range.
